It is advised that you try and give your employer at least two weeks notice. If you are unable to do so, you may risk losing your current employer as a job reference. If you have worked at your current job for some time now, you may want to keep this important point in mind. That is why you should try and give as much notice as possible, even if it is only two or three days.
